Fatty Acid Oil Cleaner contains a Strong emulsifier which is specialized for emulsification of Fatty Acid. It is a very strong cleaner, which can be used to soften up / remove baked-on drying oils and also used after animal and vegetable oils, fish oils, tall oils, tung oil etc.This product is an exceptional solvency power on soil & oily matter. It is free from Hydrocarbon solvents, Biodegradable and minimizes the extreme hazards to personnel in handling materials. These are highly acknowledged due to their accurate composition and effectiveness.
Procedure:
Fatty acid oils/fats will react with seawater as well as with untreated fresh water and will format magnesium and calcium soaps (white residues). If possible seawater or untreated freshwater (high water hardness) should not be used for pre-cleaning.
1. Butter worth the tanks 1-1,5 hour with a treated freshwater, which should be prepared in a separate tank. The cleaning temperature should be approx. 20-25 Degree Calcius above the melting point of the product.
      If the use of seawater cannot be avoided Butter worth the tank for 1-1, 5 hour with seawater of a temperature of 10 -150 C above the melting point of the product. After a sufficient pre-cleaning the temperature can be increased to 20-250 C above          the melting point of the product.
2. If seawater was used in STEP 1: Flush the tank 10 minutes with fresh water to remove the residues of seawater.
3. Prepare the following cleaning solution in fresh water:
        0.4% RXSOL CTC-VOLC
        5% RXSOL AL 2005 Butter worth the tank 1.5 hours with the prepared solution by recirculation. The temperature should be approx. 70-80°C.
4. Butter worth the tank for 1 hour with hot seawater (60-800 C)
5. Flush the tank with fresh water Inspect the tank: If white residues are present Butter worth the tank with on of the following solution:
       3-5% Phosphoric acid and 0.4% RXSOL CTC-VOLC ; or
       3-5% Nitric acid and 0.4% RXSOL CTC-VOLC ; or
       2-5% of a metallic brightener RXSOL MB 1011 and 0, 4% RXSOL CTC-VOLC The cleaning temperature should be moderate (50°C.) Use heating coils not the Butter worth heater.
6. Butter worth the tank 0, 5 hours with fresh water.
7. Ventilate, mop and dry the tank.

Cleaning Procedure: Fish oil should never be washed hot (varnish formation) Fish oil is an oxidizing oil and through reaction with oxygen the atmosphere it dries and hardens.Tank cleaning should be executed as soon as possible after discharge. Avoid higher temperatures (e.g. steaming) and heated cargoes in adjacent tanks.
1. Butter worth the tank 2 hours with cold/ambient (max. 30°C.) seawater and pump the waste water without any delay continuously out. Check if the tank is free of sediments before starting to clean as per step 2 and 3.
2. Flush the tank and line system shortly with fresh water to remove the sea water residues .
3. Prepare the following cleaning solution in fresh water.
      0.4% RXSOL CTC-VOLC or alternatively .
      0.4% RXSOL CTC-VOLC .
      2.5% Sodium or Potassium Hydroxide .
       5%   Fish Oil Turpentines Cleaner Butter worth the tank 2.0 hour by re-circulation. If Caustic is used the cleaning temperature should be not higher than 60°C.
4. Butter worth the tank 1 hour with hot seawater (70- 80°C).
5. Flush the tank with fresh water.
6. Ventilate, mop and dry the tank .

Re- Circulation Method:
Fill tank with fresh water and heat up to warm 50 Degree Celsius. IF a drop line is available on the tank line system, then start to circulate the water and add the required amount of Caustic flakes and CTC to make a 2.5% solution. A stronger solution can be made, but be advised that too much Caustic and too high temperature will result in white powder all over the tank. Under normal circumstances, between 2.5% and 4.5% will be sufficient strength. If there is no drop line, then lower butterworth hoses into the tank from the pump stack header without machines attached and circulate through these hoses while you fill the solution material.
