Neutralizing Rust Inhibitor Acid Neutralizer with Corrosion Protection
A Neutralizing Rust Inhibitor is a specially formulated chemical used to neutralize residual acids after cleaning or pickling operations and simultaneously provide temporary corrosion protection to metal surfaces.
It is commonly used after acid descaling, rust removal, or cleaning processes to prevent flash rusting and surface damage.
After acid descaling of pipelines & heat exchangers
Post rust removal treatment
Marine and offshore maintenance
Industrial equipment cleaning
Surface preparation before coating/painting
| Application | Dilution |
|---|---|
| After acid cleaning | 1:5 – 1:10 |
| Light neutralization | 1:10 – 1:20 |
Flush system after acid cleaning
Circulate/apply neutralizing inhibitor
Allow contact for 10–20 minutes
Drain and rinse if required
Ensure complete removal of strong acids before application
Use PPE during handling
Do not mix directly with concentrated acids
Neutralizes Acid Residues
Stops further chemical reaction after acid cleaning
Prevents Flash Rusting
Forms a protective layer on metal surfaces
Corrosion Inhibition
Protects steel, iron, and other metals
Surface Stabilization
Prepares surface for painting or further treatment
