Applying Wood Shield Anti-Fungal Solution is a breeze, providing a hassle-free experience for safeguarding your wood. Begin by cleaning the wood surface thoroughly to ensure optimal absorption. Next, use a brush, roller, or sprayer to evenly apply the solution, allowing it to penetrate the wood fibers effectively. One coat is often sufficient, but for enhanced protection, a second application can be considered after the initial coat dries.

Product Dose:
10% Wood Shield Anti Fungal Solution: To prepare solution, add approximately 80% of the required volume of water to the mixing vessel. While stirring, gradually add 1.0 pound of Wood Shield Anti Fungal Powder Professional for each gallon of treating solution required. Add remaining water to the solution and stir until the entire product has dissolved.
 
15% Wood Shield Anti Fungal Solution: Prepare solution as above, but gradually add 1.5 lbs of Wood Shield Anti Fungal Powder Professional for each gallon of treatment solution needed. Use this solution as soon as possible and do not store for an extended length of time.
 
15% Wood Shield Anti Fungal Foam: Prepare a 15% liquid solution as described above and also add a surfactant-foaming agent. Generally 1-2 ounces of a foaming agent, added to the 15% liquid solution, produces a dry foam with the desired expansion ratio of approximately 20 to 1 (20 gallons of foam per 1 gallon of liquid solution). The Wood Shield Anti Fungal foam should be of a "dry" consistency that adheres to wood surfaces so that run-off is minimized. A "wet" foam may damage wallboard or other building components. Refer to the individual foam equipment manufacturer's manual and the surfactant's label for specific instructions.
 
Wash and rinse all equipment after each use.
 

Powder Application:

  • Dust directly onto surface or into joints and crevices.

  • For deeper penetration, drill small holes and fill with powder.

Solution Application (Optional):

  • Mix 1 part powder with 10 parts warm water.

  • Stir until fully dissolved.

  • Apply with brush, spray, or soak method.

  • Allow treated wood to dry completely before use.

 

Note: Avoid rinsing treated wood. Do not apply during rain or when wood is wet.

  • Dry powder: ~100–150g per m² (depends on porosity of wood)
  • Solution: ~1 liter covers 3–5 m²
