Butyl Glycol (RXSOL-20-2099-210) is a clear, colorless, oily liquid with high boiling point, low volatility and  mild fruity odour and has the formula C6H14O2.  Butylglycol is miscible with water and common organic solvents. Butyl glycol is produced by reacting ethylene oxide and normal butanol (n-butanol) using a catalyst.
Uses:
-A fast-evaporating Glycol ether with an excellent balance of hydrophilic and hydrophobic character; excellent active solvency and coupling properties.is a very versatile solvent product with a good balance of many different properties. With a nearly equal balance of hydrophobic and hydrophilic character.
-It provides excellent performance in coatings, cleaners, and many other types of products. It is one of our fastest saling Product whis is frequently use for Dobule Bottom Tank Cleaning Purpose. It is compatible with a wide range of resin types, and it also offers 100% water solubility.
-Butyl glycol is also favoured in many products due to its mild odor. It acts as a solvent and coupling agent in many waxes, resins, oils and textile dyes, and is regularly used in many industrial, commercial and household cleaning products, where it offers good cleaning power as well as the odour typically associated with such products.
-It is an important starting material for a variety of syntheses ,being one of the raw materials for the production of butyl glycol acetate and for the production of plasticizes by reaction with phthalic anhydride.
