Sea Growth Control Biocide RXSOL SG is a high-performance marine biocidal treatment formulated to prevent and control microbial, algal, and biofouling growth in sea water handling systems.
It contains a broad-spectrum biocide system designed for continuous or shock-dose use in:
  • Sea water cooling inlets
  • Box coolers
  • Condensers and heat exchangers
  • Ballast water lines
  • Sea water pipelines & strainers
  • Marine engine cooling circuits
 
The product ensures unrestricted water flow, optimal heat transfer, and protection against biofouling organisms such as barnacles, algae, bacteria, slime, and marine growth.

Product Dose:

Dosage and Usage criteria

1. Shock Dose (Recommended for heavy fouling)
  • 1–2 liters per 10 m³ of sea water system volume
  • Recirculate for 6–12 hours, then flush with sea water.
 
2. Continuous Dose
  • 50–150 ppm depending on fouling severity and system design.
 
3. Sea Chest / Sea Water Inlet Treatment
  • Introduce the product into the sea chest during low-flow periods.
  • Maintain biocide concentration for at least 4–6 hours.
 
4. Heat Exchanger Protection
  • Dose continuously to prevent formation of slime and biological films.
 
Dose may vary depending on sea temperature, organism load, and system design.
